The Palestinian Standards Institution Conducts a Series of Training Courses on Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety

The Palestinian Standards Institution implemented a specialized training program on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during the period from March 16, 2026, to April 7, 2026, as part of a structured training plan carried out according to a defined schedule.

This program comes ضمن the institution’s ongoing efforts to develop the capabilities of its technical staff and enhance their readiness in the fields of product quality and safety. It also aligns with technical qualification requirements and supports expanding the scope of accreditation to include the issuance of GMP certificates.

The program included four specialized training courses covering several key topics, most notably:

  • Principles of the Codex Alimentarius
  • Good Manufacturing Practices for Food (GMP Food)
  • World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for food supplements and their related GMP requirements
  • Food Safety Management System according to the international standard ISO 22000
  • GMP requirements for cosmetics according to ISO 22716

The courses were delivered by Engineer Mohammad Mahariq and Engineer Tawfiq Odeh, who enriched the training content with their specialized practical and professional expertise.

The program focused on equipping participants with the applied knowledge and skills necessary to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements in relevant sectors. This contributes to strengthening the institution’s role in consumer protection, supporting national products, and expanding opportunities for
