The Cosmetics Classification Committee held its twenty-sixth meeting in person and via the Teams platform, with the participation of representatives from eight entities.
Dr. Ahmed Ghanem, the committee rapporteur, stated that work on the projects and the management of the committee were carried out through the new automation and digital transformation system that was adopted by the المؤسسة’s Board of Directors. Representatives of partner entities demonstrated cooperation and interest in reviewing and discussing the projects through the system, working through it to submit recommendations and provide feedback.
On another note, the meeting documents included nine new projects related to methods for testing residues and elements that may pose a risk to human health if present in cosmetic products. If approved, these methods would serve as reference standards and a reliable basis for testing, enabling relevant authorities to examine products and cosmetics in a way that meets requirements and ensures safe access of products to consumers in the markets.
The discussion covered nine new projects, and it was decided to raise recommendations to the Board of Directors for their adoption as new standards.
The committee also set Wednesday, 20/05/2026, as the date for its twenty-sixth meeting.
