Palestinian Standards Institution Awards Certificates to Participants of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Training Program
The Palestinian Standards Institution (PSI) today awarded certificates to participants who successfully completed the specialized Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training program, implemented with funding from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with NewTrendTek, during the period from 16 March to 7 April 2026.
The program was implemented as part of the Institution's ongoing efforts to strengthen the technical capacities of its staff and enhance their readiness in line with international best practices and standards, thereby reinforcing its ability to deliver conformity assessment and certification services.
The program aimed to enhance the Institution's preparedness to demonstrate its technical competence in accordance with international accreditation requirements, paving the way for the provision of GMP certification services in the fields of food, food supplements, and cosmetics.
The program comprised four specialized training courses covering Good Manufacturing Practices for Food, World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines for Food Supplements, Food Safety Management Systems in accordance with ISO 22000, and Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetics in accordance with ISO 22716.
At the conclusion of the program, participants completed assessment examinations to evaluate their acquisition of the required technical knowledge and competencies. Those who successfully met the program requirements were awarded accredited certificates in recognition of their achievement.
Dr. Haidar Hajjeh, Director General of the Palestinian Standards Institution, emphasized that investing in the development of the Institution's technical competencies is a strategic priority for strengthening the national quality infrastructure and enhancing certification and conformity assessment services. He noted that these efforts contribute to consumer protection, improve the competitiveness of Palestinian products, and expand their access to regional and international markets.
