Intensive inspection campaigns to enhance measurement accuracy and protect consumers in Qalqilya and Tulkarm Governorates

The National Metrology Department at the Standards and Metrology Institution, Nablus Office, carried out a field inspection tour today in Qalqilya Governorate, targeting fuel stations and gas filling stations, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance measurement accuracy and ensure compliance with approved standards.

The tour included verifying the proper functioning of fuel pumps and the accuracy of dispensed quantities, in addition to inspecting gas cylinder scales to ensure they conform to approved technical specifications. During the visit, pre-packaged goods in Tulkarm Governorate were also examined .

These tours are part of a periodic inspection program implemented by the institution, aimed at strengthening field oversight measures, enhancing consumer protection, and ensuring fairness in commercial transactions, in accordance with relevant Council of Ministers’ instructions.
